We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. About Bluebird Play Space
Bluebird Play Space was SUCH a great find for me! This is a toddler-friendly space created out of a love of deep love of children’s literature, storytelling, and the desire to create a safe, welcoming place for little ones to stretch their wings. What I love so much about this space is that admission covers access ALL day, and you can come and go as often as you want all day. 
The space was designed with both grownups and the little ones in mind. Parents must stay in the room, but they have the coziest couches to relax, read a book, get work done or socialize with other parents. When we visited the kids were running around freely
Whether your child is crawling, climbing, pretending, or simply taking it all in, there’s room here for open-ended exploration and joyful discovery. It’s a very free-spirited space with lots of giggling and running around from one play station to the next! 
Beyond being an incredible play space, they also host author visits, neighborhood pop-ups, craft markets and are great for private events such as birthday parties! No reservation is needed, although it’s good to check their calendar to make sure no private event is being hosted that day.

Rules
- Entry is first-come, first-serve and tickets are available in-store only
- For safety, they limit the play floor to 25 children at a time
- If they reach capacity, they may ask families to limit their play session so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the space
- They occasionally host special events during regular hours. Please check their homepage or social media for their weekly schedule and any closures.

Their bookstore is a cozy corner filled with stories they truly love, curated for families who value imagination and connection. The shelves hold timeless classics, new voices, gift-worthy editions, and books that grow alongside a child. 
They offer a wide variety of books, all thoughtfully curated. From sturdy board books, fun picture books and stories that showcase the diversity in our beautiful world. Choose from award winners, seasonal favorites, and rotating staff picks. 
They also love helping customers create memorable gifts, pairing books with pajamas, toys, and other shop treasures!
