Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

Please note: There are multiple hikes that start from the same trailhead. If you go down the cliff, you will end up at Black’s Beach. This page is specifically for the La Jolla Trail which is a straight shoot from the trailhead. Once you reach the end of the trail (which is the safest to end here and go back, especially with children) you have several options to go downhill to other secret trails.
To be honest, there are multiple hidden spots that shoot of this trail that we no longer promote on our website. They are either very delicate and can only fit a few people at a time or the trail is too eroded to no longer be promoted as safe.
Either or, the views are incredible here. This is a sandstone hike so please do not hike within 48 hours (or longer) of a rainfall as the sandstone becomes far more susceptible to cliff erosion.
