Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

Palomar Mountain is one of San Diego County’s most beautiful treasures in my opinion. This picturesque mountain is over-flowing with both beauty and mystery, which I love to uncover one hike at a time. This is possibly the quickest hike the mountain has to offer while still giving you a lovely glimpse of what it’s is all about.
The trailhead begins at Doane Pond, which is where multiple trails begin. The pond is lovely for a moment of quiet reflection, fishing or even having a picnic. The day this hike was documented the weather was moody which is so perfect for dreamy shots. This is a quick loop trail with plenty of beauty to take in.
Begin at Doane Pond:

You will head east from the pond into the wilderness. This is the sign to look out for:
