Farmhouse Getaways is an INCREDIBLE property in Ramona run by couple Carissa & Cory that covers so many people’s unique needs. They’ve done an incredible job tending to the land to create such a special experience to all who visit.

The property offers a 6 room, 3000 square ft. ranch style home as well as a 7th bedroom on the property inside the tiny house (Industrial Mini Mansion).  There is an insane 2200 square foot game room, a high tech bird aviary, an organic greenhouse with IoT automation and a Mini Barn Market that sells local produce & goods 24/7!

Whether you are looking for the perfect getaway, a space to host an event, wedding or retreat or maybe you just want to pick up some of their tasty produce, I highly recommend booking a visit!

Mini Barn Market

One of my favorite kinds of places to visit are family-run farm stands.  It is such a cool concept and so inspiring to see people making the ultimate use of their spaces. Growing delicious food and then sharing it in creative ways with the public is definitely the way to go!

Mini Barn Market was such a wonderful surprise to learn about.  Located in the windy back-hills of Ramona, the drive to the 4 acre farm stand is almost as exciting as the actual destination. So much beauty!

I am extremely passionate about supporting local farmers who use sustainable and organic practices in their farming. There are also a lot of studies proving the health benefits of eating foods that are in season to your region and the positive effects it has on our bodies.

When you’re buying directly from your local farmer who is growing it in their backyard, you can be rest-assured it is as seasonal as it gets!  Buying local is one of the best ways to keep the money within your community.

What they carry

I was told that 60% of the items sold at Mini Barn Market are grown, produced and crafted by the couple, Cory & Carissa.  The other 40% are from other local farmers, homesteaders and crafters.  Since everything is seasonal, expect new inventory every time you visit!

Some of the items we saw were homemade relishes, fresh eggs, dried herbs, organic toys, premium cutlery, baked goods, handmade jewelry, all natural beauty products, homegrown mushrooms, produce and much more!

Vacation Time!

Their organic, fully sustainable farmstay can accommodate up to 20 guests comfortably overnight. It truly feels like you’ve traveled hundreds of miles outside of San Diego County.  A bit more like Paso Robles or a beautiful wine region far away.

Their properties are designed to allow you to leave your troubles behind, connect with nature and even be a kid again!

Main House

We stayed in their Main House with 8 of our friends and had a blast! The home was cozy, spacious, and beautiful. The property has 7 Beds/5 Baths (Sleeps 20) & has 3300 sq ft of living space not including the barn. Learn all about it and how to book a stay here! 

Industrial Mini Mansion

Although we did not stay in their tiny home we did get to tour it.  It truly is incredible how much room can be built into one tiny space.  It was so nice inside!

Game Room

Their game room is seriously one of the coolest things ever.  Largely because you would never suspect what’s inside of their red barn. Their 2200 sq. ft. steel barn was designed to give families and friends the ultimate gaming experience. 

Some of the games were fully designed & engineered by them, such as Legend’s Dragway and Legend’s Stadium Basketball.  Amenities include:

Their Farm

We got the opportunity to visit their farm, meet the animals and see where the food is grown.  To say this is a remarkable property would be an understatement!

All of the structures, such as their barn, chicken coop and greenhouse were built by Cory.  He has a background in engineering and a passion for learning new skills and practicing them at a high level.

The structures are all hand-designed by him and automated to create optimal conditions within each structure. Here’s a shot of the couple:

Bird Garden

Their high tech, fully automated aviary garden can provide loads of fun and entertainment.  They have peacocks, ducks, turkeys, roosters & hens and all of them have their own colorful personalities. 

Events Space

Their property is equipped to hold 100 guests for your special event or wedding. As you can see, this is a very unique property which will provide endless entertainment for your guests. Learn more about this option here.

Retreats

Another offering they have are private retreats! Nothing is more healing than nature making this an ideal location to host a retreat.  We had a guided yoga session in the morning and it was absolute perfection!
