Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!
Fox Point Farms is what I envision future neighborhoods to look like, or what will be known as agrihoods (agricultural neighborhoods). In a time when open land is rapidly being replaced by concrete, this development takes a different approach by integrating eco-friendly practices and local food production within the housing complex.
Fox Point Farms sits beside a normal-looking condominium complex, but within it you will find a farm-to-table restaurant, café and marketplace, brewery, apothecary, and a wellness center. There is a huge family focus with many great events held weekly. It is truly incredible.
Their farm is the beating heart of the community, being responsible for their food and products that assist their restaurant, brewery, farmstand and apothecary. They are committed to regenerative agriculture which prioritizes soil health and biodiversity.

Leading these efforts is Greg Reese, a Southern California farmer with over a decade of experience in rainwater harvesting and native plant care.

Practices include no-till farming, cover cropping and chemical-free methods. This in return gives nutrient-rich crops, which helps support microbial diversity and minimizes its carbon footprint.
The stunning Haven at Fox Point Farms specializes in a farm-to-table dining experience, using seasonal ingredients in a luxurious setting.
Culinary Director Alex Carballo brings over 20 years of expertise from top destinations like Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, while Chef de Cuisine Kelston Moore, a Barbados-born U.S. military veteran and Food Network’s Chopped competitor, infuses his passion for mentorship and bold flavors into every dish.
General Manager and Beverage Director Ricardo Zarate Jr., a certified sommelier with a background at Valentina and 1500 Ocean Hotel Del Coronado, curates a wine list that highlights organic and biodynamic selections from local vintners and global heritage producers. See Menu

Fox Point Farms is the first farm-to-tap brewery in San Diego County, integrating ingredients from their farm into beers within hours of harvest. Each brew is crafted with organic seasonal hops, herbs, peppers, and spices, ensuring freshness and unique flavors.
Brewmaster Brian Carl, whose journey began with a homebrew kit in 2003, refined his craft at the Siebel Institute of Technology before working at several renowned San Diego breweries.
Served exclusively at the on-site restaurant and farmstand, these artisan-crafted brews go straight from tank to tap, reinforcing the farm’s circular micro-economy. Get ready for a one-of-a-kind beer experience with absolutely delicious beers!
At Hatch Gatherings, the goal is to unite the community through a variety of events, wellness classes and unique experiences. Their belief is that individuals of all ages and fitness levels can find something meaningful and enriching within their offerings.
Hatch offers wellness practices that cater to a wide range of interests with classes such as yoga and qigong. The beautiful glass greenhouse serves as a serene space where both seasoned practitioners and beginners can find something that resonates with them every day.
For outdoor events, Hatch aims to create fun, meaningful experiences and connections. As the only venue in Encinitas offering family-friendly movie nights, outdoor concerts, wellness events and unique workshops, they encourage attendees to step outside their comfort zones and engage with others.
