Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

The French Valley Trail is a small off-shoot trail in Lower Doane Valley in Palomar Mountain. To get here you will have to take the Doane Valley Nature Trail or Weir Trail first.
The 3 trails are connected together creating a loop, except the French trail will take you down a small trail with a dead end in which you will turn around and continue on the loop.
Palomar Mountain is one of the few state parks in Southern California with views that will make you feel as though you were in the Sierra Nevadas. You will be hiking amongst ancient oaks and cedars with an almost 6,000 ft. elevation. Get ready for a day filled with beauty!
The drive up the mountain is filled with gorgeous views from every angle!
We did this trip in late autumn 2017Â
And more shots back down the mountain after our trip. Love you Palomar!
