Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!
Dog-Friendly: No   Kid-Friendly: Part of the hike, yes. The climb up the rocks is not kid safe
Personal Experience: I was pretty shocked when I learned of caves in this area. I have been visiting the area below for years with no clue of the world above. The hike to the caves is family and dog-friendly but the actual caves and rock-exploring is pretty dangerous. I would absolutely not recommend any children and definitely no dogs to explore this area. You could easily fall to your death or get seriously injured.
Note that there is no public parking near the trailhead so you will have to find it a few blocks down and walk over.
That is our destination ahead:
The initial hike started off with family, friends and my pup but ended with just me and one other person. Not safe!
This is not the easiest trail:
All this graffiti is SUCH a shame. Respect nature!

Nice photography. I’m trying to remember: there’s a special name for ‘caves’ made by nested boulders.
