Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

About Buena Vista Park

Buena Vista Park, located in Vista, was a surprising one. I had no clue how beautiful or extensive it is!  All-trails and other blogs are saying it’s only a 1.3 mile loop, but I feel like that is only one of the options here.  It is quite extensive looking at Google Satellite and the type of place you could return to many times.

While you’re in the area, make sure to check out the Vista Conservancy Walking Trail nearby!

Much of the hike is shaded (huge bonus), making this a hike you can do all year long and stay much cooler than you would otherwise! The trail will snake you along the Agua Hedionda Creek and oak groves. We found two secret swings hanging over the creek.  See if you can find them!  I will definitely return here one day and hike further.  So much to uncover!

The hike starts off at a small pond.  I encountered the cutest and sweetest pair of geese!

We stumbled upon a pair of secret swings! buena vista park
