Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

About The Barn Vintage Marketplace

The Barn Vintage Marketplace is hands down the most beautiful antique shop I have ever visited.  Each item has been carefully chosen to create a masterfully-curated shop. The Barn is truly on a level of its own.

It is located in the heart of Wynola, a quaint, picturesque town in San Diego’s back-country region. The Barn is just short of 5,ooo sq. ft. and is over-flowing with unique treasures. Make sure you give yourself adequate time to really comb through this spot as there is just SO much to see!

The Barn’s Back-Story

Mother-daughter duo Brandi and Cierra Smothers opened the doors to The Barn on Valentines Day of 2014.  Their venture started off small, selling antiques out of a small packing shed on the property.

Once Brandi’s parents retired, she took the opportunity to expand the barn on their property creating what we now know as The Barn! Brandi said her parents used to take her antiquing when she was a child, sparking her passion for it. It’s a hobby she then continued with her own children.

Brandi’s daughter, Cierra, has a deep love and appreciation for vintage finds as much as her mother. Together they hit up flea markets and estate sales all across the U.S. and are constantly on the hunt for those perfect pieces to add to their shop.

**While you’re in the area, make sure to stop by Fort Cross Olde Timey Adventures nearby!**

They pride themselves on focusing on true, authentic antiques and vintage pieces. Brandi mentioned that within the next year they have plans to expand their vintage business as well as open a vintage-styled Airbnb!

They also have two resident emus that are cute as can be.  Make sure to stop by and say hello to them.  Just don’t stick your finger through the fence!
