Earlier this week I attended a Ghosts of the Gaslamp Tour at the Gaslamp Museum, located downtown. This is one of the oldest homes in San Diego and is brimming with rich stories and ties to prominent founders of the city, such as Alonzo Horton.  There is definitely an energy here. Not all have that touch but if you do, I think you will know what I’m talking about.
I absolutely love visiting old, historic homes and breathing in the past. You can feel it. It’s all around you. If you love supporting San Diego’s history, make sure to check out the historic section on our site for a growing list of all the historical spots in San Diego.
They host full moon tours every October and touch on the guests of the past who never actually left.
Description:
The moon is full and the veil is thin come hear ghostly tales of the spirits that reside within!
Many souls have passed in and out of the Davis-Horton House- the oldest standing edifice in downtown San Diego, and some believe these souls never left. In its 169 year history, the house has been used as a boarding house, private residence, military barracks, county hospital, and even has some Prohibition and espionage history!
Come inside and take a guided tour through our dimly lit House and hear stories of past residents and present visits from the beyond!
Join us for a guided evening tour of downtown San Diego’s most historic- and possibly most haunted- House! Tours last approximately 30 minutes and are available select evenings in October only! Reservations must be made in advance by booking online or over the phone.
