Hello everyone! This is a friendly reminder that any of these fun places we may visit, we are a guest at. Please treat both businesses and trails with the utmost respect. We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

I absolutely love speakeasies. They’re pretty much Hidden San Diego’s trademark bars, being that they are tucked away from view. Some of the other speakeasies we have visited at this point are the Noble Experiment, Realm of 52 Remedies and the Grass Skirt. You’re in for a treat at all of them.
I find it a little strange that Raised by Wolves is located within the UTC mall, but at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter. You feel as if you’re transported into a strange, new world when inside.
The storefront mimics a 1920’s liquor store with bottles varying in price and even a $30,000 bottle of Eagle Rare bourbon available for purchase. In order to find the entrance to the secret bar, head towards the fireplace. You won’t be making it inside without speaking to the hostess before though.
Once you’ve been given the go to enter, you will spin through the fireplace into what looks like a grand French library dating back a century ago. The lighting is dim and intimate and the drinks are complex, with many strange and exotic ingredients to aid with the experience.
The attention to detail of the interior is impeccable with a central theme of canines and books. It reminded me a bit of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. The setting is lush and inviting while at the same time mysterious and cozy.
This is a great place to impress a date or anyone for that matter. I’ve gone here a couple times now and everyone is always so excited once we make it inside. Especially considered we were just walking around a generic mall a minute before.
Look at how beautiful the storefront is?
