By integrating traditional practices like Sobada de Matriz (womb massage) and bajos (yoni steams) with a contemporary understanding of anatomy and physiology, she provides a holistic unique healing experience.

She is a certified massage therapist, herbalist and doula. Joanna is also an abdominal therapist certified in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™Chi Nei Tsang, and Hara Abdominal Therapy.

About their services:

Womb Massage

Fertility massage, womb massage, sobada de matriz, Mayan abdominal massage. — no matter what you call it, abdominal massage can be life-changing.

Abdominal massage, which includes uterine massage, has a long history in numerous cultures globally as a remedy to support digestion and women’s well-being. Our expertise is based on 15 years of experience and diverse training, with a primary focus on Mayan abdominal massage.

Your internal organs are the foundation of health. There are a variety of abdominal massages offered at Rebirth tailored to the person’s goals and needs. The womb massage is for overall womb wellness and enhancing fertility.

The Detox abdominal massage breaks up impacted matter and encourages healing of the internal organs, and the postnatal abdominal massage helps in postpartum recovery.

Yoni Steaming

Yoni steaming, also known as vaginal steaming, traces its origins to ancient practices rooted in traditional medicine across various cultures. Historically, it has been used in regions such as Africa, Asia, and Central America, where it was believed to promote women’s reproductive health and overall well-being.

The practice involves sitting over a steaming pot of water infused with herbs allowing the steam to reach the external genitalia. Advocates of yoni steaming suggest it can help cleanse the uterus, regulate menstrual cycles, and support fertility.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy is based on the principle that certain wavelengths of light can stimulate cellular function and improve tissue repair. Originally developed by NASA for plant growth experiments in space, red light therapy has since found applications in medical treatments and cosmetic procedures.

Red light therapy is believed to promote healing by enhancing circulation, reducing inflammation, and boosting collagen production in the skin. As a non-invasive and painless treatment, it is increasingly used for conditions such as wound healing, joint pain, acne, and even for its purported anti-aging effects.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient therapeutic technique that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This practice aims to promote healing and improve circulation. The suction is believed to stimulate blood flow, loosen muscles, and release toxins from the body.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is a therapeutic bodywork specifically tailored for pregnant women to address the unique physical and emotional changes they experience during pregnancy. With a deep understanding of the anatomical and hormonal shifts during pregnancy, prenatal massage aims to relieve discomfort such as back pain, swelling, and joint stiffness.

The massage techniques are adjusted to ensure safety and comfort for both the mother and baby, typically involving gentle strokes and positions that accommodate the pregnant belly.

Beyond physical relief, prenatal massage can also promote relaxation, reduce stress hormones, and improve sleep quality, contributing to a healthier pregnancy experience overall. It is advisable for pregnant women to consult with their healthcare provider before starting prenatal massage therapy.

Postpartum Abdominal Massage

Whether you had a vaginal birth or C-section, there is still much healing needed in the abdominal region. Abdominal massage is designed to aid in the recovery and healing process following a childbirth. This specialized massage focuses on the abdomen, and if you had a c-section much focus is around the scar tissue from the surgery.

The massage techniques used are gentle and non-invasive, aiming to reduce adhesions, improve circulation, and promote tissue elasticity. By releasing tension and scar tissue adhesions, this therapy can help alleviate discomfort, reduce swelling, and restore mobility in the abdominal area.

Additionally, c-section abdominal massage may support the proper realignment of the abdominal muscles and organs, which can be disrupted by the surgical procedure. It is often recommended as part of a comprehensive postnatal care plan to facilitate quicker recovery and enhance overall well-being for mothers who have undergone cesarean delivery.

Every treatment ends with a delicious cup of tea.
