About the Alpine Historical Society
The Alpine Historical Society, located in the mountain community of Alpine, is dedicated to preserving the history of their community. The grounds consist of a Heritage Park for Alpine which includes 3 historic buildings dating back to the late 1800’s
The mission of the Alpine Historical Society is to encourage the community to passionately help to preserve the historically significant features of Alpine. This includes natural resources and parkland as well as various cultural, ethnic, religious and social groups that comprise the Alpine area.

Currently the homes are open the last weekend of every month from 2pm-4pm. Tiny slot but hopefully you can make it in sometime!
Personal Experience
We found this spot by chance and unfortunately it wasn’t open when we came. There are two historical homes that you can view when it’s open though. Very cute. One day I’m sure we’ll return but in the meantime all you get are some photos from the outside!

It’s a great little museum telling the story of Alpine, CA from 1850 to present day. Dr. Sophronia Nichols house, built in 1896, was home to Alpine’s first doctor. She held license #26 in the State of California. The Adam & Caroline Beaty house was built in 1899 by one of Alpine’s earliest settlers. A showpiece of the collection is the restored Doctor’s buggy made by Larkin & Sons in San Francisco in 1906.
