We here at Hidden San Diego follow the 'Leave no Trace' mantra, meaning whatever you bring with you comes back with you. If you see trash on a trail, please do your part to help remove it. Remember, we are not picking up trash from another person but instead cleaning up for Mother Nature. Happy adventures!

About the Harmony Grove Spiritualist Association

The Harmony Grove Spiritualist Association, founded in 1896, is a 13 acres spiritual meeting ground surrounded by lush oak trees. The association was formed as a meeting ground for spiritualists whom were eager to learn more about spirituality, religion, philosophy and science. Sadly, most of the association was destroyed in the 2014 wildfire. They are busy restoring.

I have wandered around this location in Harmony Grove dozens of times over the years. This has always been one of my favorite areas to explore in San Diego because it is downright fascinating. There are psychic fairs held every Sunday and even a seance room and labyrinth.

**While you’re in the area, make sure to check out Questhaven Rd. nearby!**

The people speak of seeing Native spirits and even of the infamous white witch who they believe has since found the light. This spot has a lot to take in. Please enter this place with respect and an open-mind.

This first batch of photos is before the wildfire hit:

There were always colorful gems everywhere:

    @Annette,

    Hey there! First off, this place and association look amazing. Second, a group of urban explorers and myself are planning on coming to this next Psychic Fair to get some readings and explore the beautiful grounds before heading to Elfin Forest. What time does the grounds and fair open to the public?

    Thank you very much

    I drove into the driveway road w/my boyfriend and we saw signs for “parking” and another sign for “additional parking”. We chose to go towards the additional one. We got out of the car and quietly walked to the labrynth. We were out of the car for less than a minute when we both noticed a woman, pretty far away, basically charging towards us. It almost felt like she was trying to catch us so we immediately felt like we weren’t suppose to be there. We got back into the car and went back down the road we came in and she basically stops my car. She said that it was private property and that we cannot be trapassing. I told her okay politely and drove off. The people at this property are not okay w/the public just going to look or anything like that. Don’t waste your time like we did.

    Ahh, Such a cool and beautiful place!

    This is definitely not a cult you dorks LOL
    I’ve been going there for like 5 years now and I can assure you it’s not. I come whenever I need some uplifting or have free time because I love being there.

    It’s a special place with psychics, healers and lightworkers. They believe in God and Angels, its not evil. People do live there and watch over the grounds, so if your wandering around when nothing is going on there they will most likely confront you.

    Church services are Sundays at 10:30am and all are welcome. Normally there’s a speaker talking about a specific topic like gratitude or something, then we have healing stools where you can get reiki and the service ends with a couple random psychic readings sometimes leaving you in tears to hear from passed loved ones. They love having new people join and loveeee healing people who are hurting. It’s seriously beautiful and the people there are such gems. Don’t be scared by the rumors, as soon as I went I felt like I was home, it was so comfortable.

    There are also psychic fairs every 1st Saturday of every month, you can come get a psychic reading, healing or check out the cool grounds with so much history. It’s over 100 years old with some incredible oak trees and a river that runs behind it. There was a meditation labyrinth to walk by the river but it was recently removes unfortunately. Hoping they put it back. Sometimes there are deer and owls also.

    They also have spiritual classes there if you feel called to dive into your intuition and other spiritual aspects. There aren’t a lot of places where you can learn these topics so it’s pretty neat!

    My heart was hurting from so much grief from losing loved ones and they helped me through it on different levels everytime I went. This place holds a special place in my heart and I hope others will join. It’s such a treasure and rad place with the coolest people!
